Here are some actual problems and our advice to resolve them.
Problem:
I have contracted a cleaning company and I found out that they are employing sub-contractors to carry out the services without previous experience in cleaning.
Advice:
There are many cleaning companies that are franchising their cleaning contract, and some have no experience in the cleaning industry, therefore you must see proof of the company training programme together with a signed completion of training for each sub-contractor who will be attending your premises prior to the starting date.
Problem:
I want to get rid of my current cleaning services company as their cleaners are not following the specification agreed, however I have been informed that if I change companies, the same cleaners will be transferred to the new company under TUPE regulations.
Advice:
My advice to you is to write to the company to give them a chance to clarify the problem within 7 days, your current cleaning company must follow dismissal procedures or train their staff to keep the contract, however if you are still having problems, please contact us for more advice on FREEPHONE
.
Problem:
My current cleaning services company is providing us with cleaners that don't speak English and we can not communicate with them.
Advice:
Communications in any business is the key to success and if your current cleaning services company is not able to communicate well with you, then ASK them to replace their cleaners or make sure prior to starting date that you meet the cleaners and talk to them to establish yourself that communications are being met.
Problem:
My current cleaners are not locking my building properly and the alarm is activated nearly every day!
Advice:
Breaching Security is a very serious issue and must be discussed prior to starting date, Alarm Cost, Insurance etc., make sure that your new company representative signs for the key and alarm cost to be charged to the company, if the issue occurs then write to the company with a formal complaint and if the company are still unable to train their staff then you can terminate the contract, please check terms & conditions of security issues prior to starting date.
